Simply Saugy - A Relaxing Saugatuck Getaway!

Wonderful! You wouldn't want to miss it! Positive: The location was fantastic. Simply Saugy was well appointed, very welcoming and homey! It was such a cute place. Also...which is very important to us...the pillows on the bed were very supportive of the head and neck. We have been to some very upscale hotels previously, and the pillows just flattened out. It's hard to sleep when you have "pillow flippers" coming out of your ears and no head and neck support. We would recommend this place to any and everyone! We give it a 10/10 rating! Negative: It would have been nice if a map of the Saugatuck/Douglas area was provided. Also, some info about shops, galleries, restaurants, grocery stores and things to do would have been nice. Even though you can Google just about anything today, to have this type of info at your fingertips would have been very welcomed. Oh...also...info about the size of coffee filters for the coffee maker would have been good to have or to have just had them in the kitchen cabinet. Just one more thing....and I am sure this can be easily checked into and fixed. There was some noise above us and in the wall on and off all night long. The first and second night, it did not happen too often. However, the third night the noise made it almost impossible to sleep. The sound was like something being dropped or something banging against something else. It looks like construction is still being done on the building and so perhaps the noise was related to something flapping in the wind that needs to be nailed down.

Wonderful home away from home! Positive: Literally right on the river, across from downtown Saugatuck. The unit was very well-appointed and super clean with lots of natural light. The entrance through the storage garage was unusual but did not detract from the stay. I was there during the off season, and look forward to returning during the spring/summer! Still, the place is a mere half mile from Oval Beach! The host was also super responsive! Negative: Slight lack of clarity in instructions to get in, duly solved, and I expect will no longer be an issue, due to responsiveness of the host.
